My name is June Hunter, and I am the proprietor and teacher at Kempten Montessori and Afterschool club. Kempten Montessori and Afterschool club was established in 2011.
I am a native of Sligo, but have previously worked in and managed some of Dublin’s leading Montessori schools. I bring to the school over 13 years of experience in early childhood education, and am dedicated to providing your child with the highest quality of education and care available.
I have been awarded with a Diploma in Montessori Teaching from Portobello School of Further Education, and Fectac Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Supervision in Childcare from CMIT. I also hold certificates in Child Protection, “Children First”, HSE awarded, Occupational First Aid from Williams Medical & Safety, and Special Needs Education from The College of Progressive Education.
I love the work i do simply because I get to at times be a child again, I get to spend time with amazing children, learn a lot from them, and really enjoy the simple things and see the joy on the face of a child when they realize they can do something for themselves!
My expertise and knowledge will ensure that your child will grow in a stimulating educational environment. I am an ardent believer in the Montessori pedagogy, which is focused on each child’s natural development.
Throughout your child’s time in Kempten Montessori School, I am sure you will see your child thrive through the Montessori Method of education. I like to think of my school as a second home for children;A place to grow, that’s motivating and full of laughter for them!
